Mound 75
Although clearly visible today just south of Highway 40, this mound was
noted neither by Patrick, McAdams, Thomas, or Peterson-McAdams.
Moorehead appeared to be the first to notice this mound; it is located
on both his 1923 map (as Mound 80) and on his 1929 map.
Today it is 0.9 meters (3 feet) in height with a north-south dimension
of 38 meters (124.7 feet) and an east-west dimension of 30 meters
(98.4 feet). Probably substantially higher and smaller in basal
dimensions at some earlier date, it had been greatly altered by
cultivation by 1966. It may not have been noted earlier because timber
obscured it.
