Scheduling Groups

Reservations are required for all groups.
A two-week notice is needed.
GROUPS ARE LIMITED TO 70; LARGER GROUPS WILL NEED TO BE DIVIDED.

Orientation Theater and Exhibit Gallery:
The orientation show City of the Sun is shown each hour from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is no admission fee, but a suggested donation is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for children.

PLEASE NOTE: Groups which are not scheduled in advance will have to wait until there is an opening to accommodate them in the Theater and Exhibit Gallery.

Group Reservation Forms my also be obtained by calling (618) 346-5174. Please leave a message that includes the fax number or mailing address the form can be sent to.

When completing Group Reservation forms, please include preferred and alternative dates and times for a visit. Request will be checked against the schedule and a confirmation sent within one week.

Educational Programs:
For teachers wanting more of an educational experience for their students, the Educational Programs are designed to give an introduction to prehistoric Indian life and focus on the Mississippian period, A.D. 900 - 1300, the time of Cahokia Mounds. The programs include an orientation and a hands-on activity.

Teachers, group leaders and program coordinators are required to attend one Teachers' Workshop to qualify for the Educational Programs. The workshops are designed to acquaint the educator with the material presented in the educational programs.

To schedule an Educational Program or teachers' workshop call (618) 346-5160 on Wednesdays between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. and ask for the Scheduling Department. Reservations and a two-week notice are required. Programs are limited to 30 participants at each session. There is no fee.
